DNB Asset Management S.A. is a Luxembourg-based fund management company for a range of UCITS funds, which is principally engaged in fund management, supervision and international sales.

DNB Asset Management S.A.'s responsibilities are shared by two functional units: Product Management ( Legal, Compliance, Operations & Oversight) and International Sales (Marketing, Sales & Client Portfolio Management).

While the first-mentioned unit is responsible for typical management company activities, the second unit carries responsibility for all distribution activities towards institutional investors in international markets.

You will be a member of the International Sales team, which rises each day to the challenge of optimizing the client experience by providing first-class service to our international clients. In your role as Retail Sales you will work closely with the Luxembourg-based teams as well as with many other teams across DNB`s organization. You will help maintain our high level of client activities in the German-speaking countries and by that develop the firm`s retail sales business; in your role you will report to the head of German-speaking countries (retail & wholesale clients).

Main responsibilities

  • Acquisition of new clients: establish and develop relationships within the German retail segment incl. savings- and union banks sector
  • Help establish and develop relationships with distribution networks
  • Strategic account planning, identifying new opportunities business development and communicating the strategy to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Arrange, prepare and conduct client meetings off premise
  • Participate in various industry conferences/events/roadshows
  • Arrange, prepare and conduct client seminars and other client activities
  • Prepare marketing materials and client presentations
  • Support research, client service and marketing efforts
  • Interact with all internal parties such as for ex. operations to resolve problems, enhance investment process and ensure optimal use of databases

Competence

  • Proven excellence in a relationship management role, ideally demonstrated by several years of experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the German retail asset management market
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, prospecting, objection handling, closing and long-term relationship management
  • Hands on experience managing client relationships with the ability to take account ownership and strategically develop relationships
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and legal developments in the German retail landscape
  • Position investment ideas and other value-added services generating sales and assets
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and investment products (fixed income, equities, long/short equities) is a strong plus
  • Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks
  • Strong client facing and presentation skills

Education – Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master´s, MBA/CFA/CIIA a plus, Bloomberg a plus
  • Experience: extensive experience in the investment management field

Languages

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication in German and English, Nordic language would be an asset
