Since its inception, the fund has delivered an annual average return of 5.7% as of May 2025, compared to 2.2% for the fund's benchmark index, NBP Norwegian Government Duration 0.25 Index.

The fund is managed by an experienced team led by Anders Tandberg-Johansen, who has been responsible for global technology investments at DNB since 2002. He has worked in the industry since 1997 and has particular expertise in semiconductors and hardware. Erling Thune, who has been on the team since 2008, covers telecommunications and media, while Erling Haugan Kise, with experience from NBIM, covers IT and payment services. Sverre Bergland has been with the company since 2001 and focuses on software and the internet. Marius Wennersten, who joined the team in 2023, covers cybersecurity and cloud-based solutions.

The fund is built with clear risk frameworks and a strong focus on liquidity and diversification. Over 90% of the portfolio can be liquidated in under two days, and rolling 12-month volatility has remained below 13% since April 2022.

The portfolio typically consists of 60–80 positions and combines long and short strategies, aiming for a net exposure of ±20% and gross capital between 130–200%. This flexible approach helps to reduce fluctuations while allowing the fund to capitalize on opportunities in both rising and falling markets.

The fund follows a structured investment process that combines four main criteria: clear themes, companies' ability to create value, market momentum, and reasonable valuation. The managers thoroughly assess the companies and consider both earnings potential, competitive advantages, and how the market reacts.

The strategy is characterized by high discipline, a willingness to swim against the tide when they have strong faith in a case, and flexibility to seize opportunities without being locked into fixed frameworks. The goal is to find the best investment opportunities, based on their own analyses and convictions.
