The fund invests globally in companies with a revenue share from activities related to nuclear power, such as production, distribution, and technology. The fund follows the MSCI Nuclear and Uranium Custom Index, which includes around 50 companies listed on regulated exchanges in developed economies. The portfolio is concentrated on players relevant to nuclear power, providing a unique theme-based investment universe with global diversification.
As an index-related fund, DNB Nuclear Energy seeks to mirror the development of its reference index. The fund follows DNB's group instruction for responsible investments, which among other things involves excluding companies linked to serious violations of human rights, environmental damage, and corruption.
The fund is not currency-hedged. This means that investments are made in foreign currency, which provides exposure both to the equity markets and the currencies of the industrial countries the fund invests in.
