Potential Avoided Emissions

Potential Avoided Emissions (PAE) are one of the fund's sustainability indicators. PAE is a quantification of how the products and services of companies contribute to possible avoided emissions compared to traditional sources, or how they enable emission savings for their customers, and is also referred to as scope 4 emissions. PAE can occur in third-party value chains depending on the type of product or service offered and how this product or service impacts the company's operations.
